June and I have been friends for over 4 decades. We met when we were in our 20s at a social event, and then ended up working in the same office at a Law Firm in Ealing working for Richard. June and I were there for eachother; the good times, the bad times and some inbetween. There was always humour and plenty of wine!

Where ever we went people thought we were sisters and we laughed because June had a Scottish accent and I had a West London accent. We got up to all sorts, where I will disclose one particular evening with you all…

We had a client at the office who had connections with the Taiwanese Government. They took a shine to June and I. They took us to a swanky dinner in Knightsbridge. Long story short we ended up back at Whitehall. We had the music blaring and we were having a good time dancing, but then all of a sudden the Taiwanese Gov were freaking out beause there was someone bashing on the other side of the wall, telling us to turn the music down. The Thaiwanese were shouting out ‘oh nooo it is Denis and Margaret Thatcher telling us to be quiet!’. They then said you better leave, but before us getting kicked out they gave us a gold pen and then shoved us out the door. We then ran up to hyde park corner and jumped into my Datsun Cherry and drove back to Ealing and we never stopped laughing about that night.

I have always been part of June’s life, and I will continue to be part of her life through Jade, Callum and Paul. You will always be in my heart.
